Dust off your favorite red, white, and blue outfits, Rancho Del Rey! This year’s Independence Day isn’t just any neighborhood barbecue—it’s America’s monumental 250th Anniversary Celebration (the Semi-Quincentennial!), and we are throwing an absolute blockbuster event for all our residents!
On Saturday, July 4th, our community will come alive from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM (with early bird action starting at 8:30 AM) for a historic day of patriotic pride, dazzling neighborhood creativity, and delicious food. Here is your complete guide to everything we have planned for this milestone celebration!
🚲 Roll Out the Fun: The Great Wheels & Hats Parade! (9:00 AM)
We are kick-starting the morning with our community-favorite parade starting at 9:00 AM! This year, we want to see your ultimate creative flair. We are inviting all residents to show off their patriotism by decorating:
Bicycles (streamers, flags, and cards in the spokes!)
Golf Carts (go all out with banners and balloons!)
4th of July Hats (the wilder, bigger, and more creative, the better!)
The parade will wind its way all around the park so that all our residents can view, cheer, and celebrate together from their front lawns. Registration starts at 8:30 AM sharp, so make sure to arrive early to secure your spot in the lineup!
A Moment of Honor: Flag Raising Ceremony (10:30 AM)
Following the high-energy parade, we will gather together for a beautiful and meaningful Flag Raising Ceremony at 10:30 AM. In honor of the USA’s 250th Years Celebration, this will be a wonderful opportunity to stand together as neighbors, reflect on our nation’s history, and celebrate the wonderful community spirit that makes Rancho Del Rey such a special place to call home.
🍔 Sizzle & Sweet: Lunch by Habit Burger & Grill! (11:00 AM)
All that celebrating is sure to work up a major appetite! We are absolutely thrilled to share that this year’s lunch is catered by none other than Habit Burger & Grill.
Starting at 11:00 AM, grab your appetite and dive into an incredible menu featuring premium charbroiled hamburgers, crispy fries, cold drinks, refreshing fruit, and a slice of delicious anniversary cake to wrap up the perfect meal!
🎟️ Important Ticket Info: Lunch is pre-sold only for $15.00. Tickets are available right now in the front office! Please make sure to stop by and buy yours ahead of time, as tickets will not be sold on the day of the event.
