Final Community Movie Night: The curtains have officially closed on RDR Movie Night as of Friday, March 27 . The final screening featured a pre-show cartoon showcase and a main feature of the movie Song Sung Blue . Pop-up viewing gatherings may still occur for sports or special broadcasts .
Infrastructure Upgrades & Reminders: The community’s street slurry and stripe overhaul is complete . Management has installed crisp street signs reminding drivers of the 20 MPH limit on Monterey Lane and the 10 MPH maximum within individual housing units . System upgrades are also rolling smoothly along the Unit 1 median planter .
Travel and Excursions: Neighbors took a copy of the newsletter along to catch LA Dodgers Spring Training action during a record-setting heatwave in Glendale, Arizona . Local opportunities through the Central Park Senior Center include an upcoming whale watching catamaran cruise and a historic downtown Pasadena walking tour paired with a behind-the-scenes trip to NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory .
Upcoming Social Notes: While the traditional June community breakfast is canceled, residents are gearing up for the 30th Annual Memorial Day Gathering and luncheon on Monday, May 25, which will feature a flag presentation by the Marina High School ROTC . Neighbors can also sample local goods at a new Friday Farmer’s Market operating near the Seal Beach Pier .
