The Rancho Del Rey Emergency Response Team (RDR ERT) aims to educate residents on self-sufficiency during disasters, and provide support especially when local First Responders may be delayed due to the extent of a major event.
Staffed with volunteers, the program follows the Huntington Beach CERT model and includes plans for emergency situations like major earthquakes. Examples are: establishing a command center, communications, performing light search and rescue, medical triage, minor first aid - basically holding down the fort until emergency services are able to respond.
Get Involved. Be The Difference.
Rancho Del Rey’s committed ERT volunteer residents are ready to assist you during major emergencies until the city of HB First Responders can arrive. However, we can’t do this alone! We need individuals like you to step up and support your neighbors when the need arises.
If you can spare a bit of time to aid your community, even with a minimal commitment, you could make a significant difference and potentially save a life when disaster strikes.
