September 14 – September 29: Ticket sales open in the Office for the October Community Breakfast ($7 per person, billed to statement).
Sunday, October 4 (8:30 AM – 10:30 AM): Fall Community Breakfast featuring Pumpkin Pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and French toast at the Main Clubhouse.
Wednesday, October 14 (4:00 PM – 6:00 PM): Monthly Social Hour at the Main Clubhouse—bring your own beverage and light snacks to mingle with neighbors.
Thursday, October 15 (10:15 AM): International ShakeOut Day earthquake safety drill (”Drop, Cover, and Hold On”).
Thursday, October 15 (7:00 PM – 9:00 PM, Doors open 6:30 PM): Game Night Halloween Bingo at the Main Clubhouse with prizes and festive fun.
Saturday, October 17 (9:00 AM – 12:00 PM): Rancho Del Rey Health and Disaster Preparedness Fair in and around the Main Clubhouse, featuring healthcare providers, flu shots, and emergency demonstrations.
Saturday, October 24 (6:00 PM – 9:00 PM): Free Halloween Haunt Party at the Main Clubhouse featuring music, potluck dish sharing (BYOB), and a carved/decorated pumpkin contest.
Friday, October 30 (5:00 PM): Annual Howl-O-Ween Hound Parade at the Main Clubhouse parking area featuring costumed pets marching for treats.
Weekly Recurring Community Activities
Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays (6:00 PM): Casual Water Aerobics at the Small Clubhouse Pool.
Tuesdays (6:00 PM): Men’s Bible Study in the Small Clubhouse.
Wednesdays & Fridays (10:00 AM): Tai Chi Class at the Main Clubhouse.
Wednesdays & Fridays (12:00 PM – 4:30 PM): Friendly Poker Afternoon in the Main Clubhouse Game Room.
Wednesdays (7:00 PM – 7:30 PM): Casual Non-Denominational Prayer Gathering at Space 309.
Thursdays (9:00 AM – 10:00 AM): Line Dancing Class at the Main Clubhouse (Level 1 experience required).
Fridays (1:00 PM – 3:00 PM): Watercolor Art Class in the Small Clubhouse.
Community Highlights & Reminders
Disaster Preparedness: Residents are reminded that while the RDR Emergency Response Team (ERT) coordinates search, rescue, and triage models during severe disasters, individual households are responsible for keeping at least 3 days of food, water, and medications in a “Stay Bag” and “Grab ‘n Go Bag”.
Park Website Launch: Park management has launched an updated website at
ranchodelreymhe.comwhere residents can subscribe to receive maintenance notices, infrastructure updates, and monthly digital issues of the Rancho Ramblings directly in their inbox.Clubhouse Updates: The Unit 1 Clubhouse and surrounding areas are undergoing renovations, including newly installed dual-paned windows and sliding glass doors.
Pool Rules Reminder: Management requests all residents to follow posted pool hours for children (Main Clubhouse Pool: 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM; Small Clubhouse Pool: 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM).
Pet Etiquette: Please remember to clean up after all pets while walking through the park grounds.
